How do I figure out what treatment will cost?
From our very first conversation with patients, we can gather some basic information that will allow us to present you with a treatment plan that considers your insurance benefits.
What is the role insurance plays?
An increasing number of employers offer fringe benefits like dental insurance plans, and many plans have a lifetime orthodontic benefit for employees and their family members. We accept most insurance plans and work hard to help you maximize your hard-earned benefits, to help you lower the out-of-pocket cost of orthodontic treatment.
Who will help me with financing?
Mayra, our bilingual treatment coordinator, is an expert when it comes to helping you create customized payment plans with flexible terms that meet your needs.
Do you charge interest on payment plans?
Our in house financing plans are interest free. In order to offer more flexible options, we also offer payment plans that extend beyond normal treatment times and some of these plans have interest options in order to create maximum customization to your needs.
What is your process?
After Dr. McAllister examines, diagnoses, and explains your orthodontic needs, Mayra asks simple questions to determine what may be affordable for you as a down payment, a recurring monthly payment and a reasonable payment timeframe. Because Dr. McAllister grew up in a family of seven children who all needed orthodontic care even though the budget was tight, we intimately understand the sacrifices parents and families make for a beautiful smile and a healthy mouth. It is an important part of our mission to make those dreams a reality for you even if you come from a large family or have a tight budget. In our experience, after visiting with Dr. McAllister and Mayra, most patients are amazed at how affordable braces and Invisalign can be!
Do you charge a prepayment penalty fee if we pay the balance before the treatment is completed or before the end of the finance period?
There is no prepayment penalty.
Can we make additional payments in a given month, in addition to the automatic payment agreed upon in our payment plan?
Do you offer any kinds of treatment fee discounts? If so, for what?
Yes, among other incentives, we discount our treatment fee for patients who pay the full balance of their treatment fee up front. We also offer a discount for families with multiple family members in treatment at our office.
What forms of payment do you accept for treatment?
We accept cash, check, major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and Care Credit (R). If you choose to finance your treatment with us, we simplify the management of your payment plan by setting up automatic drafting of monthly payments from a checking account or credit card. As a courtesy to you we will also file claims to utilize your dental insurance benefits.
Can I use my HSA account or Flex spending to pay for treatment?
Yes, we will work with you to help you take full advantage of the benefits available to you.
What is the difference in cost between Invisalign (R) and braces?
In order to allow patients to choose what will work best for their lifestyle we have eliminated the difference in patient fees between Invisalign (R) and braces. Although Invisalign’s (R) lab fees are more expensive to us, we don’t pass that cost along to you.
