What’s the Youngest Age to Get Invisalign?
What’s the Best Age for Invisalign?
We don’t say there’s a “best age” for Invisalign but depending on the individual Invisalign treatment can be appropriate for both teens and pre-teens.
McAllister Orthodontics treats and monitors young Invisalign patients and throughout their development. We’ll intervene when necessary to avoid a surgical correction later – for example, when a permanent tooth is causing or may cause damage to other permanent teeth. Most of our young Invisalign patients range from 11-16 years old.

Invisalign for Young Children
When determining if Invisalign is right for your child you’ll need to consider the following questions:
- Can my child responsibly wear Invisalign aligners for 20-22 hours every day?
- Will my child be able to stick to the strict hygiene practices of brushing after each meal before putting their Invisalign trays back into their mouth?
Invisalign can include a built-in safeguard for parents to see if their kids are wearing their aligners long enough. The aligners have a barely visible exterior blue dot that indicates whether the patient is wearing his or her Invisalign braces long enough each day.
What are the Benefits of Early Invisalign Treatment?
Early intervention for orthodontic issues sets your child up for a lifetime of oral health. Phase one of Invisalign treatment helps develop a young patient’s jaws and/or arches to make room for existing teeth and incoming permanent teeth. This early treatment can stop pre-existing bite problems from worsening, straighten teeth, and shorten the time necessary for later orthodontic treatment.

How Much is Invisalign Treatment for Kids?
The cost of treating your child with Invisalign depends on a number of factors. The cost is calculated in the same way it’s calculated for Invisalign Teen and Invisalign adult patients.
The cost of Invisalign treatment can be as low as $2,000 for minor corrections to more than $6,000 for complicated cases. After your child’s initial consultation McAllister Orthodontics will provide a detailed treatment plan breaking down the expected time and total cost.
